Nollywood actress Annie Idibia has dismissed widespread rumours claiming she has reconciled with her ex-husband, music star Innocent “2Baba” Idibia, formerly known as 2Face, and that the pair are expecting another child.
The speculation gained traction over the weekend after an old video showing the former couple enjoying themselves together at a nightclub resurfaced on social media. The clip sparked claims that they had rekindled their relationship, with some reports even alleging Annie was pregnant with their third child.
However, the actress has now set the record straight, describing the reports as false.
Taking to her Instagram Stories on Monday, Annie clarified that the viral videos were not recent and urged the public not to be misled by the circulating claims.
“Old videos circulating everywhere, false news everywhere,” she wrote.
The clarification comes amid intense social media speculation that began on Friday, July 17, when the old nightclub video resurfaced online.
Annie and 2Baba, who share two daughters, publicly announced the end of their marriage in January 2025 after more than a decade together. Since then, the award-winning singer has moved on and is now in a relationship with politician Natasha Osawaru.
Annie’s denial also contradicts another viral narrative circulating on social media, which falsely attributed emotional remarks to the actress claiming she regretted divorcing 2Baba, had reconciled with him, and was expecting a baby.
The widely shared post alleged that Annie confessed she was influenced by “fake friends” into leaving her marriage before eventually finding her way back to the singer.
It further claimed she described the alleged pregnancy as “an apology” to her husband and a symbol of their renewed commitment.
However, Annie’s latest statement makes it clear that such claims are unfounded, as she insisted that the videos fuelling the rumours were old and that false information was being spread about her and her former husband.
Her response effectively puts to rest the latest wave of speculation surrounding her relationship with the music icon.
