A call has gone to relevant stakeholders in the country to see the fight against corruption as a collective efforts aimed at ridding the society of the age long epidemic called corruption.
The state coordinator of anti corruption crusade organisation of People’s voice and member ICPC National Anti Corruption Coalition, Ogun state, Mr. Idris Abu made the call during the induction of Primate Ogunmefun Ebenezer Ajigbotoluwa as an Anti Corruption Ambassador in Ogun state.
Abu stated that the induction of Primate Ajigbotoluwa as an Anti-Corruption Ambassador was performed to mark the this year international anti corruption day which is being celebrated all over the world.
The state coordinator urged the newly decorated ambassador to see his new task as a call to join hands in the fight against corruption which has been a serious epidemic in the entire system in the country.
He noted that Primate Ajigbotoluwa was decorated as anti corruption ambassador based on his integrity and his forthrightness and most especially in recognition of his outstanding contributions and commitment to the development of anti corruption crusade in the state, even as charged him to be the agency’s eyes and ears in his community.
He also enjoined all the anti corruption ambassadors to see themselves as people’s voices, adding that their roles in the society must be targeted at restoring the structure that has been badly affected as a result of corruption that has eating dip into the fabrics of the nation’s system.
Speaking after his induction, Primate Ogunmefun Ajigbotoluwa expressed his gratitude and satisfaction to the state coordinator for the trust and confidence reposed in him, assuring that he will do his best to assist the agency in the fight against corruption.
The Primate said that the task for the crusade against corruption must be collectively fought and won so that Nigeria can be great again going by the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu at revamping the nation’s economy.
He therefore assured the agency of his commitment and determination to work hard in his community and beyond in the fight against corruption in the country.
The revered religious leader was later decorated as an anti corruption ambassador in the state with the presentation of certificate and other documents.
