Former Deputy Senate President and National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for Delta Central, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, has issued a stern warning to anyone planning to rig the 2027 general elections.
Omo-Agege, speaking at a campaign rally on Wednesday, said electoral fraud undermines the future of Nigerians and their children and vowed that it would not be tolerated in his senatorial district.
“Anybody who rigs election that day, we will kill him. Rig and die. If you don’t value your life, come and rig election,” Omo-Agege said.
He maintained that those who manipulate election results are rigging the future of voters, adding that supporters of his party were prepared to resist any attempt to subvert the will of the people.
“They are rigging your future, they are rigging the future of your children. We are waiting for them. Let them try. Rig and die. We are going to do it aura for aura,” he added.
The senator also faulted the common advice to election petitioners to seek redress in court, arguing that electoral malpractice should be prevented at the polling units rather than left for post-election litigation.
