A member of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors and Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government Council, Lagos State, Princess Surah Animashaun, has reaffirmed the council’s commitment to the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general election.
Animashaun, who spoke at the council secretariat in Ita-Marun, Epe, while addressing journalists, said the council was determined to deliver more than 200,000 votes to the President in the election.
She said the present administration considered President Tinubu’s second-term bid a priority because of the enormous developmental benefits Epe Local Government had continued to receive from the Federal Government.
She said, “Look at the Federal University of Science and Technology in Epe, the Federal College of Alternative Medicine in Epe, the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Epe, as well as the proposed School of Nursing, all in Epe. These are some of the developmental benefits the council has received so far, while we are still looking for more.”
The council chairman expressed confidence that Epe would give the President the highest number of votes among the local government areas in Lagos State. She said the council’s confidence in Tinubu’s leadership was reflected in the numerous federal infrastructure projects currently transforming the area.
“Our people are seeing and feeling the impact of good governance. From road projects to health, education and empowerment, we are building a foundation that makes it easy to sell the Renewed Hope message in the council,” Animashaun said.
She described President Tinubu’s economic reforms as bold and necessary measures aimed at repositioning Nigeria’s economy for sustainable growth.
“Indeed, every action we take that impacts the people positively is a vote for the President. Every job we have created is a vote for the President. Every road we build attracts votes for the President. Every political appointment we make has multiplier effects that translate into more votes for the President.
“The President’s vision aligns with what we are doing here, and our people will reward that with their votes in 2027,” Animashaun said.
While acknowledging that some of the policies had created temporary challenges, Animashaun maintained that they were laying a solid foundation for long-term economic stability, increased investment and national prosperity.
