The acting governor of Ondo state, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has been sworn in as the substantive governor of the state.
Aiyedatiwa said he accepted with heavy heart, the onerous responsibility of Governor of the Sunshine State brought about by the demise of his Principal on Wednesday, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu
Describing Akeredolu’s death as a “devastating shock,” he said the legacies of the late predecessor in state administration would be sustained.
Aiyedatiwa’s swearing in was conducted by the Chief Judge of Ondo state following the demise of late governor Rotimi Akeredolu in the early hours of Wednesday, December 27, in Germany.
