This is why we must not take sides before hearing from both sides. It has now come to light that the passengers deported by Saudi Arabia, did not follow the right processes regarding their Visas.
We are used to doing things our way and not following instructions. I’ll try to share a bit, from my experiences regarding following instructions.
Following Instructions is a skill that is learned in childhood, at home. Respect of others and other people’s properties, are also taught by parents, at home.
In the UK, those who did not learn these skills as children, are disruptive at school and everywhere. At home, they have conquered their parents and do whatever they like.
As teachers would always exert and stamp their authorities, something these children are not used to, they attack the teachers and other children. They throw massive tantrums, leaving destruction of school properties in their wake with their violence.
When consequences do not work at school, they are then taken from their parents, into the Care of the Local Council and allocated to Foster Carers, who are trained to support these children with severe behavioural issues. Living with the Foster Parents, they learn those basic skills they missed in childhood.
I do not, therefore, understand why we expect people who have no respect nor regards for BOUNDARIES, PROCESSES, and FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS, to do so when given tasks with national implications. They cannot.
We blame the central government and politicians for every ill in this country, including the failings of parents. How many Nigerians know the names of their Local Government Chairmen and members of the Council?
An adult, who has not learned to Follow Instructions, can not follow same when appointed as a Party Agent, INEC Adhoc Staff, Civil Servant, Minister, Commissioner, Doctor, Lawyer, Cleaner, trader, Judge, Politician, etc.
Inability to follow Instructions, is the root of impunity and violence in our nation. Very often, I hear, “We will do it and nothing will happen”. And they do it. Nothing happens!

If we all raise our children responsibly, setting boundaries for them, and meting out consequences where and when necessary, our families and nation can only know happiness.
