A female group, the Good Women and Ladies Foundation has drummed support for Chief Toyin Amuzu of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, describing him as the best and most sincere among the candidates seeking to represent Abeokuta South Federal Constituency at the lower Chambers of the National Assembly.
The President of the group, Mrs Funke Adesanya stated this while receiving Chief Toyin Amuzu who was on tour of polling units across Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, at the Ago-Egun area of Abeokuta.
Mrs Adesanya who said her group was passing a vote of confidence on Chief Toyin Amuzu promised to ensure that such a capable, genuine, honest, selfless and experienced individual is elected to represent them at the lower Chambers of the National Assembly.
According to her, “we have taken our time to study and scrutinize all the candidates contesting for the position of house of representatives in Abeokuta South Federal Constituency”.
“We know those who have been in government or had at one time or the other held a political position with little or nothing to show. We know those laying claims to government projects portraying it as their personal projects, we know those accused of gun running, those who betrayed the people, we know the unstable ones who can’t be tied to their words, we know the inexperienced, we know those who want to go and make money. ” She said.
Mrs Adesanya, who explained that the assessment was thorough, said Chief Toyin Amuzu without holding any political position had demonstrated a high level of genuineness by single handedly donating about 16 boreholes water projects over a spate of two years, with money provided for over 50 groups for free interest lending and empowerment, donation of solar powered lights , installation of transformers, scholarships and various intervention support among others.
She said the candidate of the PDP vying to represent Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, Chief Toyin Amuzu is so prepared and has distinguished himself, “the reason he is walking around in the sun to meet the people and know their needs”.
Mrs Adesanya called on the people of Abeokuta South to come out and vote massively for Chief Amuzu, whom she said is more committed to the good of all and sundry.
