Engr. Oresegun, a Nigerian by birth from a tender age loved machines, and his passion and drive got him a Bachelor’s and Master of Science degrees in the field of Mechanical Engineering from Lagos State University, Epe, Lagos, with additional MEng in Mechanical Engineering at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.
Having worked with Dorman-long Engineering Limited, a Consulting Engineering Firm as a Project Engineer for Samsung, Shell (SNEPCO), and Total (Oil and Gas) company, his brilliance and expertise got him an employment opportunity with the Ogun State Ministry of Works and Infrastructure where he led the commissioning of two new power plants in the State, adding 500MW of generating capacity to Ogun State’s Power grid. His expertise was instrumental in completing these projects on time and budget.
Furthermore, in one of the foremost institutions in Ogun State, Engineer Oresegun implemented a computerized load monitoring system to track energy usage across campus in real-time. This allowed for better optimization of multiple generators to precisely match demand, avoiding overcapacity operation. He also converted generator radiator cooling systems to closed-loop configuration. This enabled precise temperature control to improve generator efficiency by 2-3%.
He went further by designing a heat recovery system to capture waste heat from generator exhaust and used it to pre-heat water for dormitory bathrooms. This system is expected to save over $30,000 annually in natural gas costs. Additionally, he upgraded the generator insulation with high-performance ceramic materials to reduce heat loss. This improved energy utilization per amount of fuel consumed.
Engineer Oresegun also implemented advanced power factor correction capacitors to optimize electrical load balancing resulting in 5% energy savings from reduced line losses. His skills, abilities, and capabilities were noticed, and he was also assigned to pioneer the use of the new high-efficiency turbine technology at Ogun State Thermal Plants, increasing output by 8% at seven different facilities. This improved electricity access for millions of Ogun State indigenes.
Also in one of the famous International Colleges in Ogun State (Springland International College) where he carried out Lighting Upgrades, Engineer Oresegun performed a lighting audit on all campus buildings and designed a phased transition to LED fixtures. The Engineering guru completed Phase 1 conversion of exterior/security lighting which produced $10,000 in projected annual electricity savings.

He installed smart lighting control systems to allow scheduled dimming/shutoff of lights when not needed and also incorporated occupancy sensors in classrooms to automatically turn off lights when vacant and finally Sourced EnergyStar-certified fixtures and bulbs to maximize efficiency.

He is skillful in using Ansys Fluent Simulation Software with deep Knowledge of LAMMPS for Molecular Dynamics Simulation. His Knowledge of AUTO-CAD Software, MATLAB, Inventor, and 3-D for drawing, Simulating, Automation, and Control is second to none with good command of TRNSYS and Solid Works Excellent usage of 3D Printing and several 3D modeling software.
