A socio-cultural organization, The Ijebu Associates, has sent a heartwarming birthday wishes to the Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security in Ogun State, Ogbeni Bolu Owotomo.
In a statement jointly signed by the group’s Protem Chairman and Secretary, Baa’royin Dayo Rufai and Mr Bimbo Sogbesan respectively, and made available to The Daily Crucible, the group described the youthful Commissioner whose political status has been on the horizon as a true Ambassador of Ijebuland.

While I wish the Hon. Agric Com. Bolu Owotomo happy birthday. I’m also using this medium to draw his attention to the responsibilities attached to his portfolio and do the needful by ensuring that farming activities in Ogun state resume in earnest in various farm settlements and other farming communities in the state. Please ensure that farm machineries are provided in a reasonable quantity. Farm extension services restore at the farm settlements. Provide seedlings (not GMO) to farmers. Ensure that the access roads to the farm settlements are motorable, give farmers enough incentives to ensure that they remain productive. You have to guarantee the farmers safety and security at all times while they are tilling their fields. Indeed, Agro Services departments resuscitated, additional residential buildings were made available for the Settlers of the state farm settlements.I have to appeal that the agriculture ministry annual appropriations Act must be judiciously implemented to guarantee food security in the Gateway state.
