The University has kicked-start the brand new year(2023) on a good note with fresh appointments, leveraging on two(2) others as re-appointments.
The Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof.Olusola Babatunde Kehinde took the bull by the horns with his approval of the appointment of Prof.F.I.Adeosun as the Dean of the Student Affairs Division.
Prof.Adeosun is from the Department of Aquaculture and Fisheries Management, College of Environmental Resources Management(COLERM).
According to official correspondence dated January 3, 2023, signed, issued, and made available to the Directorate of Public Relations, the appointment is for a period of three(3) years with effect from January 3, 2023, to January 2, 2026.
Until his appointment, Prof.Adeosun was the Director, Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies (CENTS).
He succeeds Prof.(Mrs.) Mobolaji Omemu as the Dean of Student Affairs Division.
Similarly, Prof.(Mrs.) E.I.Ayo John has been appointed as the Director of Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies(CENTS).
Her appointment is for a period of three(3) years with effect from January 3, 2023, to January 2, 2026.
Prof.Ayo John is of the Department of Crop Protection, College of Plant Science and Crop Production(COLPLANT).
She’s taking over the mantle of Directorship of CENTS from Prof.F.I.Adeosun who is the new Dean of the Student Affairs Division.
In the same vein, Prof.H.A.Bakare has been appointed as Chairman of the Ceremonials Committee (CERECOM).
He is of the Department of Hospitality and Tourism, College of Food Science and Human Ecology(COLFHEC).
According to the Registrar, Prof.Bakare’s appointment is for a period of two (2) years with effect from January 3, 2023, to January 2, 2025.
Prof.Bakare is picking the gauntlet from Prof.Akinola Akinlabi following his appointment by Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State as the Rector of Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igbo-Ora, Oyo State.
However, the duo of Dr.M.A.Busari and Dr.N.O.Adekunle have been re-appointed as Acting Director of Directorate of Research Innovations and Partnership (DRIP) and Acting Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering respectively.
While Dr.Busari is in the Department of Soil Science and Land Management, College of Plant Science and Crop Production (COLPLANT), Dr.Adekunle is of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering(COLENG).
According to the Registrar, Dr.Busari’s re-appointment is for a period of two (2) years with effect from January 3, 2023, to January 2, 2025, while the re-appointment of Dr.Adekunle is also for a period of two(2) years with retroactive effect from December 15, 2022, to December 14, 2024.
