The immediate past Amirah Of FOMWAN in Ogun state, Alhaja Kudirat Yeni Rabiu has solicited support of the Muslim Ummahs in Ijebu – Ode for FOMWAN at the installation of FOMWAN Chief Imam and other Chiefs at the Ijebu – Ode Central Mosque, Ogun State.
Alhaja Rabiu Solicited the support at the weekend at the event chaired by the grand chief lmam of ljebuland Sheikh Miftaudeen Gbadegeshin Ayanbadejo and had other members of the league of lmams and alfas in ljebuland in attendance.
While reeling out some of the achievements of FOMWAN in ijebu – Ode, Alhaja Rabiu said that the key activities of FOMWAN in that axis was the Dawah programme which saw them travel to all nooks and crannies of Nigeria in the quest for Islamic propagation.
She also said, part of their activities was a youth camp to train youth on Islamic doctrines; empowerments to improve the socio-economic status of her
members.,especially for women and the youths.
Also in line was humanitarian Services which she said was very key to FOMWAN as it provided for the needy and the vulnerable in the society and this included visits to vocational centres, cemetery and the hospitals.
Alhaja Rabiu also mentioned payment of medical bills for the inmates and other patients in the hospital facilities experiencing delay in discharge as a result of non-payment of some token for medical discharge.
She said FOMWAN, Ijebu -Ode picked up the expenses to bail out those in the infigent category while they also gave out scholarships to brilliant students, adding that the health status of the women was also a great concern for members.
She observed that during her tenure as the Ogun State Amirah for FOMWAN, a medical screening Centre was established at the Secretariat in Abeokuta in order to ameliorate the poor health conditions of members, saying FOMWAN under her stewardship also sponsored so many religious programmes
And as part of the ongoing landmark projects, Alhaja Rabiu informed that a modern mosque was donated to FOMWAN, by Late Alhaji Abdulganiy Adebayo Muili in memory of his wife Alhaja Kudrat Amoriade Muili, in the year 2017, both of whom were both of blessed memory.
She further said FOMWAN clinic and old people home are also under construction at Itanrin, while a standard clinic for the old people was also under construction, saying however that FOMWAN Secretariat for Ijebu zone, is also underway
While soliciting the support of the gathering for FOMWAN activities in the axis she said:” We are in dire need of a bus, to ease our Dawah activities as the one we have is grounded”
“FOMWAN Clinic and old people home also need your assistance, ditto for FOMWAN Secretariat.which is at completions stage and needs some finishing touches.
