Barely 24 hours after news of the death of popular Nollywood actor, Saint Obi, hit the nation’s entertainment industry, the operators again have been thrown into another round of mourning following the sudden demise of actor Murphy Afolabi earlier today, Sunday, May 14.
Sources close to actor’s associates said Afolabi who just celebrated his 49th birthday on May 5, slipped on tiles and hit his head on a hard surface.
His grieving friend, Tunde Ola-Yusuf, a fellow actor in the Yoruba subsector of the Nollywood, shared a post about Afolabi’s demise.
Sharing a picture of the actor, Ola-Yusuf wrote: “REST IN PEACE. “May God give the family and close associates the fortitude to bear the loss.
“Good night Muphy Afolabi.”
In another post, Ola-Yusuf stated: “We lost a strong Filmmaker Muphy Afolabi. May God Rest your soul Bro.”
The popular Yoruba actor was quite active about 22 hours ago as his last post Instagram page revealed.
