Abiodun, Daniel, Amosun, Tunji Isola Mourn Cash Madam, Princess Kadijat Edionseri

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State and ex – governors: Senator Gbenga Daniel and his successor; Senator Ibikunle Amosun as well as the immediate past Nigerian High Commissioner to United Kingdom, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola, have mourned the demise of Chief (Mrs.) Khadijah Adebisi Edionseri, who is well known as ‘Cash Madam.’

The accomplished business icon and community leader died on Sunday at the age of 89.

The quartet of Governor Abiodun, Senator Daniel, Senator Amosun and Ambassador Isola in their separate tributes on Monday, extolled the virtues of the renowned businesswoman, philanthropist, and socialite, Chief (Mrs) Adebisi Edionseri, as a “formidable personality,” “great woman of all seasons,” an “outstanding woman of etiquette and an exquisite dresser” as well as a “business amazon and mother to all.”

These great sons of Ogun State also acknowledged her exemplary life and resilience.

For Governor Abiodun, the late octogenarian was a formidable personality and a beacon of inspiration to countless individuals, stressing that

she also attained remarkable success at a young age, demonstrating resilience and ambition that would continue to inspire others in Ogun State and beyond, including future generations.

“I, on behalf of myself and the people of Ogun State, expressed heartfelt condolences to the family of Alhaja (Chief) Adebisi Edionseri.

“Alhaja Adebisi’s contributions to the business community and her vibrant social presence will be reference points for generations yet unborn. Her influence extended far and wide, making her a cherished figure in the hearts of many.

“As the state mourns the loss of such a formidable personality, the legacy of Chief (Mrs) Adebisi Edionseri will undoubtedly continue to inspire future generations of entrepreneurs and social leaders,” Abiodun said.

Also, in his tribute, Daniel hailed her as an astute businesswoman, loving mother, and a pillar of the community.

“Her name will be written in gold in the annals of Abeokuta’s history,” even as he extended his condolences to her family with prayer for Allah to grant her eternal rest and the family fortitude to bear the loss.

Similarly, Senator Amosun described Cash Madam as an impressionable woman of many achievements.

“Cash Madam had a larger-than-life disposition; she was an outstanding woman of etiquette and an exquisite dresser. In spite of her greatness, she was open-minded and approachable.

“She was a doting mother who imbued quality values in her children and family to become responsible members of society. She was a great loss to Egbaland, Ogun State and Nigeria, whose kind cannot be easily replaced. The Iya Suna of Egbaland, Yewa land and Ogun State, will be sorely missed for her contributions to the propagation of Islam.

“Amosun prayed that the Almighty Allah (SWT) would grant Princess Adebisi Edionseri Aljannah Firdaus and give the children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the entire family the fortitude to bear her irreparable loss,” Amosun stated.

In the same vein, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola, who recalled that one of the Princess Edionseri’s public appearances was penultimate Sunday during the installation of Mùslim chiefs in Ayetoro, Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State, described the death as a profound loss to the Muslim, business, and socialite communities.

“The immediate past Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom and the Baba Adinni of Ogun State also described the late business amazon as a mother to all.

“A respected figure in her community, Isola admitted the forthrightness, tenacity, generosity and devoted nature of the late late business woman.

“He prayed Allah to grant her Aljanat Fridaus and “give the entire Muslim Community and business circle the fortitude to bear the loss,” Isola stated.
