A minor has been chained allegedly by his mother and kept in a dehumanizing state in a non-descript location in Itele, Ijebu East Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The Daily Crucible gathered that the minor identified as Prince Bello is 14 years old and lives with his mother after the father allegedly abandoned them two years ago.
It was learnt further that the father left with his other siblings.
According to sources, his mother has been abusing him and denying him food.
It was learnt that he has been in chain for the past 24 hours without food and has slipped into unconscious state probably due to starvation.
The abusive mother has also threatened to keep him chained for the next three days as punishment and it would be without food, the source said.
The source further said that the woman and son live near the “Baba OPO block industry Itele Garage road linking to Express” in Itele.
“He has spent a day. While we plead on the boy behalf to please allow us to get the boy food to at least make him survive and have stable health.
“She refused and also bragged we can go to any legal authorities we want no one can take him from her or release him.
“I hereby call on concerned authorities to come to Itele swiftly before the matter escalates
“We need to retrieve the twin sister wherever they kept her also the last born Victoria needs to be retrieved from their mother.
“All the 3 kids needs protection and welfare from appropriate quarters.Hoping on favorable considerations Sir, the source said.

Executive Director, Community Development Initiatives, told The Daily Crucible that the police from Ogbere Division have swung into action and rescued the boy.
“The survivor, his sibling and their mother about to leave the Nigeria Police Station, Ogbere Division to Abeokuta now with a staff from our office and Ogun State Ministry of Women Affairs and social welfare. We thank Ogun State government through the Ministry of Women Affairs and social welfare for their promptness,” Igbodipe stayed.
