Mrs. Helen Yusuf who served the Commission meritoriously for 35 years, retired amidst ovation from the management and staff of the Public Complaints Commission.
It was a celebration of a storied career. Mrs Yusuf who started as a Confidential Secretary with the Commission rose to the position of a Director, Private Sector Department.
At the colourful send forth ceremony on Tuesday, December 19, in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the Hon. Chief Commissioner described Mrs Yusuf as a very hardworking and intelligent officer who will be greatly missed. He further said that the Commission will always remain grateful for her active, meritorious and dedication to service both for humanity and the nation.
The Secretary to the Commission, Hajiya Salamatu Jummai Mamman expressed gratitude to Almighty God for the years she had spent in the Commission and described her as epitome of hardwork who will be greatly missed.
The Directors of Administration and Investigation ( Public Sector), Ms Hannatu James Baraja and Ms Edna Edokpa respectively prayed for her and wished her the very best in her future endeavors.
The celebrator, Mrs Yusuf recalled days of her entrance in service and expressed gratitude to Almighty God as well as appreciation to colleagues and others who his service a worthwhile experience.
“I’ve had a fabulous career, and I’ve only had that opportunity because so many people helped me, Nobody gets to where they are by themselves. I’ve had a lot of good mentors, good family, good friends. I feel really blessed,” she said.
The climax of the send forth were presentation of gifts, cutting of cake and group photographs.
