The Chairman of Obio Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, Chijioke Ihunwo, has advised President Bola Tinubu to mindful of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, minister, Nyesom Wike.
Ihunwo alleged that Wike is plotting to join the 2027 presidential race, suggesting that this could hamper President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second term ambition if he had any.
The Council chairman of Wike’s local government made this known to newsmen on Thursday in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
He said, “Wike has plans to run for president in 2027. Mr. President should be wary about Wike.
“His plan is to tell the president that ‘I want to remain in PDP, let me hold the structure for you.’
“There, he will be doing follow-up on how to succeed the President.
“He did it to Amaechi, so he can do it to anybody. That’s his style. So, I want to appeal to the President to be very wary of Wike, minister of the FCT.”
