Masked gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted Mrs. Odumosu, wife of a retired Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Hakeem Odumosu.
Mrs. Odumosu was kidnapped at the gate of her residence on Friday morning in the Arepo area of Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State as she was returning home from an outing.
The Daily Crucible learnt that Odumosu’s wife was seized by four masked men when she was about to enter her residence.
The gunmen shot sporadically into the air before dragging her out of her Lexus Jeep and whisked her through a swampy forest of Arepo to a yet – to – be ascertained location.
Spokesperson of the Ogun Command of Nigeria Police Force, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident, saying police operatives have swiftly swing to action to search and rescue the woman.
“Information was received regarding the kidnapping of Mrs. Odumosu, a female resident of Aminu Street, Arepo, Ogun State,” she stated.
She revealed that that a Divisional Police Officer is leading a team of operatives to comb the swampy area for the victim and the abductors.
