Cardoso Junior High School, Badia, Ijora Lagos Old students have taken the maiden “Pad Up A Girl Child” campaign to their Alma Mater, to sensitize the girls on the importance of hygiene.
Leading the campaign is the Public Relations Officer of the Old Students Association, Ms Ekaette Ufot, who also doubles as the project Coordinator. She sensitized the pupils on the benefits of Health and Hygiene.
Ms Ufot also educated them on how to take care of themselves during their monthly flow with practical illustration of how to apply the Pad by using one of the junior class students, Miss Omolara, to safely demonstrate it.
Aside the enlightenment on healthful living and hygiene, no fewer than 684 pieces of Moleped Sanitary Pads and
‘Pad Up A Girl Child’ T-Shirts were distributed to the girls in JSS 3 and JSS2 classes.
The School Principal, Mrs Basirat Ganiyu, who gave an overview of the school activities and achievements, lauded the project and the effort of the old students body for their benevolence.
