All roads lead to Abeokuta home of veteran broadcast journalist and immediate past General Manager of NTA Ado Ekiti, Segun Ojelade, as the iconic broadcaster clocks 60.
The celebrated reporter and producer who retired as Deputy Director News in February this year after 35 years of metitorious service is famous for his numerous research based reports and Senate 109, a weekly feature on the Nigerian Senate.
Segun Ojelade, a thoroughbred journalist and graduate of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye and NTA TV College, Jos, joined the Nigerian Television Authority Abeokuta, NTA, in 1989 from were he was posted to many stations including the Abuja national headquarters of the largest television station in Africa.
A seasoned administrator, Segun Ojelade, served as the Assistant Director News of NTA News 24, General Manager NTA Akure and General Manager NTA Ado Ekiti.

A member of the Nigeria Union of Journalists Ojelade is also a member of the Nigerian Society of Broadcasters, Associate Member Nigeria Institute of Public Relations, NIPR and Fellow of the National Institute for Educational Planning and Research, Ondo, Ondo State.
A patron of the National Youth Council, he has many awards and honours in his kitty including the Distinguished Outstanding Icon and Manager of the Year 2024 by CFAS Sports Global, and Award of Excellence by Yoruba Broadcasting Association, Abuja, 2022.
Segun Ojelade is married with children and a grandchild.
