Senator Godswill Akpabio from Akwa Ibom State has been elected President of the 10th Senate.
Akpabio from Akwa Ibom State secured 63 votes to defeat Abdulaziz Yari from Zamfara State who had 46 votes.
In the red chamber of the National Assembly, Senator Ali Ndume nominated Senator Godswill Akpabio and was seconded by Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola.
Sex toy Senator Elisha Abbo nominated Senator Yari.
After rounds of voting by the Senators-Elect, Yari secured 46 votes while Akpabio got 63 votes.
With the announcement of the result, Senator Akpabio floored his rival, Senator Abdulahi Yari, to emerge as the winner and was declared as the Senate President.
