The Ogun State House of Assembly Minority Leader, Hon. Lukman Adeleye, has explained why he raised K1 mother’s death, Alhaja Halimat Saddiyah Anifowose, on the floor of the house.
Fuji Maestro, Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, announced the news of his centinnerian mother’s death on K1’s official media page on Saturday morning, January 18.
The woman passed away at the age of 106.
Speaking on the matter, Adeleye who paid glowing tributes to the late Alhaja Halimat Saddiyah Anifowose, on the floor of the house, said the action was a mark of honor and to ensure that the departed matriarch’s legacy is remembered.
He described Alhaja Anifowose as a devoted mother and pillar of strength for her family, who lived an exemplary life of accomplishment and grace.
He noted that King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall has taken Fuji music across the world, and it is only fitting to acknowledge the role his mother played in his success.
The Assembly session concluded with a minute’s silence in honor of Alhaja Anifowose, as lawmakers emphasized the enduring legacies of the departed figure.
