Donald Trump has been sworn in as the 47th president of the United States at the Capitol Rotunda, on Monday, marking a political comeback after being convicted of felonies.
But the judge granted him “unconditional discharge” in an “extraordinary unique circumstances.”
Trump in his inaugural address vowed that “the golden age of America” has started as he listed his priorities — on trade, immigration and national security .
Strangely, in speech, he criticized President Joe Biden, who sat nearby.
Trump, thanked the crowd, Vice President JD Vance, and other politicians and justices, assuring that the golden era has begun.
“The golden age of America begins right now,” he says.
He says America will be “the envy of every nation.”
“We will not allow ourselves to be taken advantage of any longer. I will, very simply, put America first.”
He also outlined an ambitious agenda for his second coming, emphasising immediate executive actions aimed at tightening immigration policies, reversing previous border policies, and implementing new tariffs.
He stated, “Our mission is clear: to secure our borders, grow our economy, strengthen our military, and protect the rights of every citizen.”
