ABUJA: Senior Special Assistant to Nyesom Wike on Public Communications and New Media to the Federal Capital Territory FCT minister, Lere Olayinka has reckoned the appalling comments former Governor of River State, Dr.Peter Odili, against his principal, describing it as a disappointment.
Lamenting that Odili has reduced himself to the level of partisanship, when he ought to be an elder statesman, Olayinka said the ex – Governor will get his deserved response from Wike in no time.
“(I) Read the comments made by the former Governor of Rivers State, Peter Odili on the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, today, and I can’t but be disappointed that someone who should be acting like an elder statesman can reduce himself to such ridiculous level of partisanship.
“Well, he will get his deserved response from the FCT Minister in due course”, Olayinka said on Saturday night.
The Daily Crucible reports that Dr Odili had during a social function he organised in honour of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, said that Fubara stopped his benefactor -Wike, from turning the Rivers State to a private estate.
Odili said the governor summoned rare fortitude to confront the quest by Wike to capture Rivers state through ferocious, but unnecessary political war.
“Governor Fubara confronted the challenge, prevented the quest by one man to capture the State as a private estate, emancipated Rivers people, steadied governance and made civil servants and Rivers people happier as it used to be,” Odili reportedly said.
