Ademola was engaged to be married, but her fiancé was tragically killed two months before their wedding. She since remained single.
A year or two ago, Few years ago, Allwell narrated how she was on the verge of being married to her dream man and partner in 2005 when his life was suddenly and gruesomely cut short, barely months to their Wedding Day.
Recalling the pathetic and heart rending experience that left her single till death claimed her yesterday, the actress said she was on phone conversing with her lover and husband – to – be on that fateful day in 2005 and she heard from the background as gunshots rang out.
She said there was a ‘dead silence’ from her man’s end of the phone conversation – He was shot dead by people suspected to be robbers.
The nollywood producer revealed this during an interview with her colleague Biola Bayo on YouTube show, “Talk to B.”
Allwell noted that the ordeal left her deeply traumatized for two years and could not help falling in love with the guy who was the Best Man for the botched wedding plan.
According to her, she took the decision in part to cope with the loneliness and emotional wreck resulting from the loss of her fiancé.
She said, “I’m aware of many individuals who choose solitude over marriage. Similarly, there are those who desire marriage but don’t wish to have children.
There are those who yearn for companionship without the cries of a baby, and those like me, who had dreams and watched them crumble.
“I lost my man two months to our wedding. Armed robbers shot him and I mourned him for two years, and then I moved on with our best man. Yes, it’s true. He was my best friend even before I met my fiancé,
“So, I planned to make my best friend the best man at my wedding. Unfortunately and fortunately, his fiancée jilted him at about the same time I lost my fiancé; so, he felt maybe, God didn’t want us as just friends. So, he proposed to me. What do you expect from a heartbroken woman at her lowest? I fell for it.”
