Police Operatives serving in Nsukka Area Command of the Enugu State Command, have identified and arrested one Obed Chekwube Ugwuanyi a.k.a. MC Sharp (male), aged 32, Chinenye Agbo a.k.a. Star Ella Ada (female), aged 26, and Anastasia Onu (female), aged 26 in connection with the dehumanization of a lady in a viral video.
The three and others at large were allegedly involved in the viral video wherein Chinenye was seen being beaten, her cloth torn and stripped.
The victim also had her hair forcefully shaven on the allegation that she beats up Anastasia and inflicted on her, a human bite on the chest.
Anastasia is said to be Obed’s girlfriend.
The Force Spokesman, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who made this known on Tuesday evening in a release, stated that preliminary investigation had revealed that the three suspects claimed the video was a prank meant to garner followers on their social media accounts.
But the said video had elicited public outcries and condemnations due to the inconceivable assault, inhuman and degrading treatments met out to Chinenye as seen in the viral video,.
According to Adejobi, the Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Ammani, had condemned the act and ordered the State CID Enugu to thoroughly investigate and prosecute those found culpable, as a deterrent to anyone who may want to perpetrate similar act under the guise of prank.
