The House of Representatives Candidate of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP in Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, Chief Toyin Amuzu, TA has urged the people to elect selfless and responsible leaders that would use resources in their custody to serve them and not those who seat on their patrimony.
Chief Toyin Amuzu stated this in Ward one, Ake area of Abeokuta, while flagging off the PDP polling unit campaign across Abeokuta South Local Government in Ogun State.
The House of Representatives Hopeful said the people deserves a responsible Government that would not only respect the people but must be sensitive to meeting their needs and general well-being.
He said it was sad that many of the communities he has been visiting are in dire need of good roads, portable water, and transformers among other needs, while those saddled with the responsibility of providing such amenities are looking away and not up to the task.
Chief Amuzu said, this was what spurred him into personally providing borehole water projects, solar street lights, energising of transformers and many other needs to support the people and make things easy for them.
He observed, that some of those who have been in governance at various levels can not boast of a single project in their communities and are again seeking position just to seat on their patrimony.
Chief Amuzu advised the people to do away with such politicians, saying anyone who is not selfless and can not spend his personal money would not spend government money when given such opportunities in any position.
He assured that he will be donating atleast three transformers in the name of the PDP governorship candidate, Chief Oladipupo Adebutu and other candidates produced by the PDP, urging all to vote the party from top to bottom to witness a positive transformation in all sectors.
