Our Diligent Efforts Failed To Revive Nanya – FMC Abuja 

The Daily Crucible reports that the beautiful singer, Ifunanya, lost her life after she was bitten by snake while sleeping in her Abuja home.

The snake was later identified as cobra and caught alive by snake catchers.

Ifunanya, popularly called Nanya_music or Soprano Queen, was a chorister in an Abuja – based church, died on Saturday, January 31.

The 25 – year – old singer was said to have presented herself first to a private hospital in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and later to the FMC Abuja but sadly she passed away from complications arising from the venomous cobras bite.

Reacting to the tragic incident, the FMC Abuja said its team of professionals did their best to revive the 25 – year – old singer popularly called Nanya  but couldn’t help the situation as she suddenly slipped into a deteriorating state while battling o stabilize her ahead of transfer to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

A statement signed on Sunday by the Head of Clinical Services, FMC Abuja, Dr.Bioku Mufutau, stated that a quick but thorough evaluation revealed that “Ms Nwagene suffered severe neurotoxic complications From the snake bite”

“We want to clarify that the Management team at the Federal Medical Centre, Abuja, acted promptly and with the utmost care upon Ms Nwangene’s arrival. Our medical staff provided immediate and appropriate treatment, including resuscitation efforts, intravenous fluids, intranasal oxygen, and the administration of polyvalent snake antivenom.

“Despite all efforts to stabilise her condition and transfer her to Intensive Care Unit for further treatment, she experienced a sudden deterioration just before the transfer. Our team of professionals worked diligently to provide CPR and other life – saving measures; however, despite these efforts, we were unable to revive her,” he stated in part.
