The Minority Leader of Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon Lukman Adeleye, has penned a heartfelt tribute to the late Pa Ayo Adebanjo, describing his passing as a colossal loss to Nigeria, the Yoruba nation, and Ogun State.
Hon Adeleye eulogised Pa Adebanjo as “a democrat, titan of integrity, champion of justice, and steadfast advocate for the Yoruba people and Africa.”
“As a leader of the Afenifere, a prominent Yoruba socio-cultural organization, Pa Adebanjo was a powerful voice for the rights and interests of the Yoruba people, and a fierce defender of democracy and good governance in Nigeria.
Pa Adebanjo’s commitment to Pan-Africanism was unwavering, and he worked tirelessly to promote unity, cooperation, and development among African nations. His legacy of courage, conviction, and selfless service will continue to inspire generations to come.
Hon Adeleye fondly remembered the late Afenifere leader as a community man to the core, who inspired many young people to believe in themselves and strive for excellence.
