A mob has set a Toyota Hilux vehicle ablaze after it had ran into a crowd at a bus stop, killing three people and injuring two others in the process.
The accident which occurred on Friday night around KARA -OPIC bus stop corridor of the Lagos – Ibadan expressway, involved
six people – five males and a female.
Two persons were injured while three were killed – all male adults.
The crash involved a Toyota HILUX white colour with registration number EPE80J.
According to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Chief Route Commander and Public Education Officer, Florence Okpe, the cause of the crash was brake failure.
Okpe said the vehicle lost control and ran into people standing at the bus stop.
The vehicle, she noted, was set ablaze by angry people due to the killing.
“The injured victims were taken to Lagos Emergency center Ojota while two of the dead bodies were claimed by the relative Hausa community Kara market and the remaining 01 person was deposited at Idara morgue sagamu,” she stated.
