A man identified as Rasheed and lecturer at Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State has reportedly been shot dead by his enraged younger sibling for allegedly using his destiny to make progress in life.
It was learnt that Rasheed was at a burial ceremony somewhere in Auchi on Friday when his younger brother called him and requesting to see him at home soon.
It was further learnt that he told his slain elder brother that there was something he wanted him to see and when Rasheed returned, the younger sibling reportedly gunned him down and bolted afterwards.
But the villagers gathered their youths, went searching for the fleeing assailant and smoked him out of hiding.
According to sources, the Villagers who had turned mob, matched him to the spot where he kìlled his brother and set him ablaze.
It was gathered that assailant had consulted an Oracle from a native doctor, who him that Rasheed used his destiny and that of his other brother in prison abroad to advance in life while the two other siblings wallowed in penury and hardship.
According to Facebook book user, Rachi Ohiaeri, who shared the incident, it was said that Rasheed had also refused to take any step to get his younger brother in prison out of the jail.
Rachi Ohiaeri stated, “Lecturer Rasheed of Auchi Polytechnic was
k!llled by his younger brother yesterday morning.
Rasheed was in #Auchi burial ground yesterday morning, they went to bury one woman when the younger brother called him to come and he wanted to show him something though he has been threatening to k!ll him.
He left the burial ground to meet him, and that was how he sho@t him and ran away but the community boys searched for him, brought him to the spot he sh@ot his brother and burnt him to ashes.
They are three boys of the parent. One is aboard but in prison, according to people, that was one of their misunderstandings, the k!ller claimed that his elder brother #Rasheed was not doing anything to release their brother, that he went to #Native_doctor and he was told that #Rasheed is progressing because he used their destiny.
That was how the family lost two young men in a space of hours.

Me: my friend posted this story yesterday and to say I am beyond sad with the kind of spiritual belief system of the average Nigerian is to put it lightly.
This is why if you are very religious, in any of the types of religion, I consider you an immediate threat!
This is why in every family, ensure everyone is educated because it reduces envy, jealousy and outright vawulence!
This is so sad.”
