No fewer than four soldiers are feared dead, and others gravely injured after a suspected drunk driver rammed his Toyota vehicle into them.
The soldiers said to be attached to the Myoung Barracks in the Morocco area of Shomolu in Lagos State were doing their monthly road jogging outside the barracks on Friday morning when the pathetic incident occurred.
The Daily Crucible gathered that the Toyota car had three occupants, and they attempted to flee the scene but were arrested and thoroughly beaten by aggrieved soldiers..
Their vehicle was also vandalised.
Although, no comment yet on the development from the Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, 81 Division, Olabisi Ayeni, and the spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, as efforts to reach them have not been successful.
