Davido’s 1st Baby Mama, Sophia Ajibola Momodu, has apologised to the public after posting a picture of Davido and his three kids the singer took with them to celebrate his 30th birthday.
She made the birthday post on her daughter’s behalf to mark Davido’s birthday.
Sophia, the mother of Imade, used her daughter’s Instagram page on Tuesday to state that it had dawned on her that the picture of the singer and three kids which she posted earlier may come across as insensitive.
She said it was not intentional.
“I realize that the earlier post may (come) across as insensitive ..…” she stated.
She issued the apology after fans descended on her for being insensitive.
The adjudged insensitive post shows a photo of Davido carrying Ifeanyi, who died following drowning in his Dad’s Swimming Pool last month.
Davido and Chioma; mother of Ifeanyi, are still grieving over the loss of their son.
She wrote, “l realise that the earlier post may come across as insensitive and I sincerely apologise as that was not the intention. Imade deeply loves her father and all her siblings, and as a mother, I’m doing my best to guide her through the difficult emotion of grief from the loss of her brother whilst trying to celebrate her father’s birthday. I ask for your consideration and hope that you all can be understanding during these times. Thank you, Sophia Momodu.”
Davido, who is still mourning the death of his son, Ifeanyi, turned 30 on Monday.
Earlier in August this year, Sophia had reacted to rumours of being pregnant with her second child for the awards winning singer.
The Nigerian businesswoman, social influencer and brand manager felt uncomfortable at the time with fans’ assumption when a video on Instagram showed her wearing crop top revealing her tommy.
Sophia decided to go live and clarified things.
The mother one said she was not pregnant but only getting fat.
