Details emerging from the restive part of oil bearing Delta State revealed that the newly-installed Ovie of Ewu-Urhobo Kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, Clement Ikolo, Urhukpe 1, is among the eight persons declared wanted by the Defence Headquarters in connection with the March 14 gruesome killing of 17 officers and soldiers on peace mission at Okuama community in the State.
Okuama a coastal community within the jurisdiction of the Ewu-Urhobo Kingdom is where the wanted Ikolo has been made the traditional ruler.
Earlier on Thursday, the Defence Headquarters declared eight people wanted over the reprehensible and dastardly killings.
Others declared wanted are the President-General of Ewu communities and renowned university lecturer, Prof Arthur Ekpekpo and a suspected militant leader, Akevwru Daniel Omotegbono, aka Amagbein.
Also declared wanted are Atata Malaw David and Sinclair Oliki, who are suspected to be part of the Amagbein gang, Andaowei Dennis Bakriri and Igoli Ebi, who is believed to be the mother of one of the wanted persons.
Also on the list is one Reuben Baru, a young man, who made a viral video recently, narrating why the soldiers were killed.
It was learnt that Soldiers had, a few days after the killing, tracked one of the wanted suspects to the Igbomoturu community in the Southern-Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State but he went underground before they could close in him.
