Nigerian filmmaker and founder of the African Movie Academy Awards, AMAA, Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, is dead.
She died in a hospital in Lagos State.
Ayiam-Osigwe who was also the President of the Association of Movie Producers slipped into coma and was taken to St. Nicholas Hospital Lagos, according to reports before she breathed her last.
Her colleague and nollywood filmmaker Zik Zulu, wrote on a Nollywood platform that Anyiam-Osigwe, who is also the president of Association of Movie Producers (AMP), had died.
“Our President, Peace, has passed. As of Saturday, she was reported to be in a coma at Saint Nicholas. But now her family has confirmed her transition. May the memory of her life be a blessing. Rest in peace, dear Peace.”
Also, a filmmaker Obi Emelonye wrote about her passing on a social media platform.
But some sources insist that the Anyiam-Osigwe is still in coma and has not been confirmed dead and the family has also not spoken about it.
