The governorship candidate of Labour Party (LP) in Adamawa State, Umar Madawaki, has dumped the presidential candidate of his party, Peter Obi and collapsed his structure in furtherance of the push by the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, to win the Saturday presidential election.
Madawaki, also known as Otumba Ekiti, urged his supporters to vote for Tinubu in Tomorrow’s poll.
At a gathering on Thursday in Yola, the state capital, where he declared his support for the APC flag bearer, the governorship hopeful, however, stressed that he was in the race for the governorship seat in the state.
“It is in the light of all these that we entered into discussions with APC and after exhaustive negotiations, we have decided to collapse our entire structure into the APC structure for the presidential elections.
“I call on all my supporters, therefore, to go to the polls come Saturday and overwhelmingly vote Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
