In partnership with TotalEnergies Marketing Nigeria Plc, the L.E.A.D Career Project equipped over 1,000 Nigerian youths with skills for the green economy under the theme “Eco-Innovation and Green Economy: Opportunities for Young People.”
The programme included a job shadowing session with TotalEnergies employees in Port Harcourt, with Adesua Adewole, General Manager of Total Country Services, emphasizing the importance of empowering youths through eco-innovation.
They nailed it with the Google Certification Programme rollout in Plateau and Kaduna States as participants sharpened their digital skills in project management and data analytics to earn Google certificates.
The enthusiastic young Nigerians said they are now ready to conquer the tech world, whether in big companies or as fierce digitalpreneurs.
In a related development, Smart Sprout Student Company from Darun Noor Intercontinental School in Kano has won the National Company of the Year (NCOY) 2024 competition in Nigeria.
Smart Sprout Student Company showcased eco-friendly business ideas under the “Greenovation” theme to win.
They also went ahead to also represent L.E.A.D Career Project at the Africa Company of the Year (ACOY) competition in Mauritius, where they impressed with their creativity and innovation.
The team brought home the MIPS Excellence in Technology and Innovation Award for their innovative solutions, while their mentor, Hajia Hadiza Yusuf Baba, received the Best Facilitator Award.
