The Ogun State caucus of the National Forum of Former Legislators NFFL, has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election as President in the forthcoming 2027 general elections in Nigeria.
NFFL Ogun State cited President Tinubu’s dexterity in addressing the multi-faceted national challenges confronting the nation, his great economic strides and results yielding tactics of tackling insecurity as reasons for the endorsement.
The decision followed the Forum’s resolutions during its National Summit at NAF Conference Centre, Kado, Abuja, on Saturday, where it also declared its unalloyed support for Tinubu’s re-election ambition.
The Forum equally noted that the President deserved its commendation and re-affirmation of confidence in his capabilities, according to a statement by Hon Abiodun Abudu-Balogun, the gun State Coordinator, NFFL.
Similarly, members of the Forum endorsed the Senator representing Ogun West, Senator Solomon Adeola YAYI for governor and declared members’ strong support for him ahead of the 2027 governorship race in Ogun State, citing his statewide development initiatives, rich political antecedents, vast legislative experience and welfarism as reasons for the support.
“The Ogun state caucus of the National Forum of Former Legislators hereby declare absolute support for and commitment to the governorship aspiration of the current Ogun West Senator and do hereby call on him to publicly declare his governorship ambition to enable us and other well wishers begin a massive mobilisation drive for him,” it stated.
The Forum also saluted governor Dapo Abiodun and the elder statesman, Aremo Olusegun Osoba for their relentless efforts at steering the political course and progressives in the state.
