The Ogun State Chapter of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) is set to host its annual end-of-year get-together tagged, “Owanbe Nite Season 1,” blending professional excellence with cultural pride.
The event, scheduled for Thursday, December 4, 2025 at the Event Towers, Kuto, Abeokuta, will feature a dazzling display of Adire fabrics, colourful parades across senatorial districts, live drumming and traditional dances as well as awards presentation.
According to a press statement signed by the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Mrs. Adijat Olaleye, the first-ever Owanbe Nite is a vibrant celebration of culture, creativity and professionalism.
“This event is more than a party. It is about showcasing the beauty of our culture, the pride of our profession and the power of unity. It is a groundbreaking platform designed to amplify our cultural heritage, while strengthening bond across the three Senatorial Districts of Ogun State, particularly within the public relations community,” she disclosed.
Dignitaries expected at the event include the Ogun State Governor and Patron of Ogun NIPR, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON; Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, as Mother of the Nite, while the First Lady, Mrs. Bamidele Abiodun, would be the Special Guest of Honour.
The Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Oba Saka Adelola Matemilola, is the Royal Father of the Nite, while the Managing Director of CMC Connect LLP, Chief Yomi Badejo-Okusanya, would be the Chairman of the occasion.
Olaleye said, “As we wind down a year of growth and collaboration, we are thrilled to celebrate another impactful year in the life of our Chapter. The Owanbe Nite symbolises the rich heritage and creative spirit of the people of Ogun State as exemplified by our Adire fabrics. The release further stated that admission to the event is strictly by dress code and access card.
