The Chinese government has declared its firm support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration as it “leads its people on the development path suited to its national conditions.”
The Chinese government, therefore, warned hawkish Republican President Donald Trump and the United States of America against hiding behind religion and human rights to interfere in the affairs of a sovereign country.
Mao Ning, spokesperson of China’s foreign ministry, stated this while fielding a question on US President Donald Trump’s threat of military action in Nigeria over alleged genocidal killing of Christians
The Chinese foreign ministry official spoke during a press conference on Tuesday,
“As Nigeria’s comprehensive strategic partner, China firmly opposes any country using religion and human rights as an excuse to interfere in other countries’ internal affairs, and threatening other countries with sanctions and force,” Ning said..
