Nigerian preacher and motivational speaker Pastor Tolu Odukoya has finally opened up on her marriage, confirming that it is dead.
Tolu Odukoya who is an Associate Senior Pastor, Fountain of Life Church founded by her late parents – pastors Bimbo and Taiwo Odukoya, said that she and her husband have walked their separate ways out of the marriage.
Tolu revealed this in a recent episode of her podcast, “Truth Table With Toluwani,” where she spoke candidly about her personal journey and the attendant emotional challenges that dogged her path in recent years.
She attributed the breakup to circumstances beyond her control. She recalled that within 24 – month calendar, she endured multiple painful losses, including the deaths of her father, stepmother, and aunt.
“Most people don’t know that my husband and I have separated due to circumstances beyond my control. You don’t get into a marriage to leave a marriage. When your marriage is over, it is like a death.
“I have experienced a couple of deaths: the death of my marriage, my stepmom, my dad, and my dad’s twin sister. All these happened within 24 months (2021–2023),” she said.
However, she remains undaunted and even spoke gracefully of her ex-husband, describing him as a“great man.”
The pastor admitted that sometimes, two people are simply not meant to be together.
“He’s a great man, but when two people are not ordained by God to be together, staying married becomes difficult,” she said.
Her revelations have sort of set off conversations on social media platforms, with many commending her honesty and strength in handling such a delicate matter openly.
