The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Saturday declared Diket Plang, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), winner of the Plateau Central Senatorial election.
INEC Returning Officer, Dr. Jima Lar announced the result in Pankshin Local Government Area after the review of the February 25 Nationality Assembly elections in the state.
Lar said that Plang polled a total of 131,129 votes to emerge the winner of the poll.
The APC Senatorial candidate defeated his close rival, Yohanna Gotom, of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who came second with 127,022 votes while Garba Pwul of the Labour Party (LP) came third with 36,510 votes.
