As millions of Muslims conclude the religious observance of a month long fasting, Senator Solomon Adeola, has congratulated Islamic faith adherents on the successful conclusion of the tasking but spiritually purifying and nourishing religious exercise.
In a felicitation Eid -El -Fitri message to his Muslim constituents, Adeola who is the Senate Committee Chairman on Finance, prayed that Almighty Allah will answer the prayers and sacrifices of adherents as presented in the month of Ramadan.
The Senator conveyed his Eid -El – Fitri message through a statement by Chief Kayode Odunaro, his Media Adviser.
The Senator – elect for Ogun West on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) also expressed the hope that the spiritual lessons of Ramadan and the injunctions of Holy Prophets on self – denial, love, peaceful co -existence, fairness and Justice will continue in believers’ daily lives.
The Aremo of Yewaland equally called on Muslims and other Nigerians to continue in their prayers for a successful transition to a new administration in May and the incoming administration of Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu as well as other administrations at the state level and the 10th National Assembly.
“We have many challenges facing the nation. From economic problems to insecurity and hazard of climate change, our nation must make serious effort to provide succor to its people. We should pray for Allah’s guidance for our incoming new leaders at all levels in fostering a renewed hope of better days and years ahead,” he stated.
While acknowledging that the religion of Islam is a religion of peace and love of Allah and fellow human beings Senator Adeola urged Muslims to continue in all the pious and righteous ways associated with the Ramadan.
He noted that tolerance and peaceful co-existence should be a way of life for all Nigerians as government attempt to find solutions to myriads of security and socioeconomic problems facing the country.
