A mild played out in the House of Representatives on Wednesday when a newly elected lawmaker was shown the way out of the Green Chamber over alleged improper dressing.
The lawmaker, name withheld, had entered the chamber casually dressed in a red t-shirt and brown trousers. He reportedly sat at the upper gallery of the temporary chamber of the House when the House was almost rounding off the proceeding for the day.
According to LIB, a member of the House, Billy Osaweru, raised a point of order, drew the attention of the Speaker to the lawmaker’s alleged improper dressing, saying it contravened the House dressing code.
The lawmaker was eventually compelled to leave the chamber after the speaker’s attention was drawn to the perceived unlawmaker – like outfit.
